Have you ever wanted to travel and explore the unknown and try diving, but have been unable to take that giant leap because of your hearing loss? Do you find it hard to understand diving instructors in big classes? FRUSTRATED???

I am Deniece, and I'm emailing you on behalf of Worldwide Dive and Sail to tell you about our trips! But first, let me tell you a little bit about myself. Based in Bristol, England, I started out learning to dive with WWDAS in 2005, and having completed both my Open Water and Advanced courses on the first trip, I discovered a passion for diving. I have since completed my Divemaster course. Additionally, I have had a cochlear implant since 2001, something which I credit with changing my life and giving me the confidence to go diving.

Worldwide Dive and Sail is the only diving liveaboard to provide facilities for d/Deaf and hard of hearing (HoH), as far as we are aware of. All instructors are deaf aware and there are interpreters on board on the trips. In 2009, we are running not one, but TWO trips with facilities for d/Deaf and HoH! Both of these trips last for 10 days/10 nights, and take place in Indonesia, in the Komodo Marine Park, part of the beautiful Moyo and Satonda Islands. Accommodation for this will be on board the luxurious SY Phillipine Siren, a beautiful maiden yacht.

The date for these trips are as follows:

21st July - 31st July 2009

19th September - 29th September 2009.

If you have never dived before, that is not a problem. I can arrange Open Water and Advanced courses in the UK before you travel, with our deaf aware instructors, and an interpreter on hand. If you are based outside the UK, get in touch and I will see what I can do for you.

We are taking bookings right now! We will need 30% deposit to secure your place on the trip, and you will not need to pay in full until 2 months before the trip.
